Bittersweet Music is based in Buckingham, England and was created by Suzy Smith a professional performer and tutor.

Suzy created Bittersweet Music to ‘inspire, encourage and entertain’. An experienced singer and musician, Suzy is well versed in many styles of music, from jazz to punk, opera to rock and blues to soul. She is passionate about music – performing and teaching.

Bittersweet Music has gained a strong reputation and provides guitar and singing tuition in several schools and privately in Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire. Several students have secured places at major drama/dance and theatre schools and have accredited their success in audition, to Bittersweet Music. Performers of various genres have also benefited from advice given by Bittersweet to improve their performance techniques.

Bittersweet Music also provides superb live entertainment and background music for events such as, wedding ceremonies, receptions, parties and dinners. Expert advice is offered to help you choose the right music for your event.

Suzy is an experienced and versatile singer and performer. Her experience encompasses musical theatre, opera, blues, soul and rock. She has sung with a piano/vocal trio, a guitar/vocal duo and professional party/function bands. She is currently singing with two rock/blues bands and working on various recording projects.

Suzy is sometimes available to sing solo accompanied by guitar or piano - at wedding ceremonies, dinners or receptions for example.

Bittersweet Music encourages students of all ages and levels of experience to get out and perform !

Several of our students have performed throughout the year in local musical events, acoustic showcases and festivals.

We've been involved in some fantastic fundraising events, talent competitions and several students are now performing in their own right.
